Good morning and happy Friday!
Not that it matters to me if its Friday, because if you haven’t noticed from my mid-day Facebook updates…I’m unemployed! Everyday is Friday when you don’t have a job.

Now it’s been about 2-maybe-3 weeks since I last updated ya’ll on my progress that is life. But we have all noticed that I’ve hit a BIT of a wall. Some, if not all, of you may be wondering “what happened to that Interbrand thing!?” Well, I will get back to that. Right now, however, I’m going to catch you up on how karaoke went! Woooohoooo!

To kick off the event, the birthday girl (AKA me) showed up 15 minutes late. As a birthday girl should. The first song of the night was Kevin King’s rendition of ‘my ding a ling’ followed by my ever relevant ‘Part of Your World’ from the Little Mermaid. Dave blew everyone away with what I only know as ‘peaches’. Here’s a video of Dave, eating a lot of peaches. (There was no alcohol at this point)

So after that, Adam and I did a beautiful duet. You may have heard the song… It’s by Jay-Z and Kanye. I was Kanye, Adam was Jay-Z. The song was Ninjas in Paris. Madison has a video of the performance which will make its debut at our wedding next summer.
Once those few great performances passed everyone else got a little more confident in their singing ability and have it a shot. Mitch and I sang Beez in the Trap by none other than Nicki Minaj featuring 2 Chainz. I don’t think I’ve ever cursed so much in my life (sorry mom.)
Anyways, everyone had a blast, including me! I was very spoiled as the birthday girl. My favourite gift was Dave’s. He bought me chicken nuggets. Everyone knows how much I love chicken mcnuggets. Especially after a few drinks.

Moving on to why I am currently jobless. Interbrand hired me as freelance for 2 weeks to finish a project- which was so much fun! No sarcasm, I actually really enjoyed the real world.
I have applied for a full time position as a junior designer but we are waiting to hear back from that… The suspense is killing me. Not a crazy story but a story none the less. Please, everyone cross their fingers, toes, legs, that I get this dream job.

In the meantime I’ve done as much laundry as I can handle, taken Zelda for long ass walks every day. Baked a little. Tried sewing but gave up before I started. Finished a few books. Slept. Now I just have to clean the house from top to bottom. Lets hope it doesn’t come to that.

Thanks for reading! Let me know what you do on your downtime. Maybe I can pick up some new hobbies!

Love, Amber
